Japaul Gold and Ventures Plc, incorporated in 1994, is a Nigerian upstream service company engaged in the business of mining, oil and gas, maritime, dredging, transportation, engineering, and construction services. Formerly called Japaul Oil and Maritime Services Plc, the change was occasioned by the marked emphasis on the company's mining business and its venturing into technology development, as it shifts from the largely oil and gas dependent business activities. In 2005, Japaul experienced a major restructuring activity culminating in the raising of ₦1.3 billion through its IPO and an additional ₦20 billion through a public offer two years later.

Japaul Group's service portfolio includes offshore vessels owning and chartering (Japaul Shipping & Offshore Services Ltd); downstream petroleum marketing (Japaul Energy Ltd); infrastructural development (Japaul Infrastructures Ltd); mining (Japaul Mines & Products Ltd); and pipeline constructions and repairs, marine logistics/equipment fabrication and leasing and repairs (Japaul Dredging Services Ltd). Japaul's shareholders consists of over 25,000 Nigerians as the company aims to place at least 60% of marine assets in the hands of indigenous companies.

Almost all the comments on this platform centre on investors not receiving certificates and/or dividends and return on their investments but there has not been a single response from Japaul to this crucial query! Can somebody, the director or whoever has answers respond to the yearnings of these investors! They have invested heavily in your company and they deserve an answer. Thank you.

This is because they are communicating their complaints on the wrong platform. only give information on stocks exchanges. They should be communicating with the registrar for Japaul Gold instead which is Sterling Registrars (same as pace registrars.). So please if you have unclaimed dividends or have questions direct them to Sterling Registrars instead. Thank You.

I have been a shareholder of Japaul Gold since 2007, and I keep believing the company will do us (the shareholders) good sometime some day in future. Hence, I commend the directors in the effort made so far in the direction of divestment done already that has led change of company name, and which by the Grace of God will benefit all of us.

The concern I have is that the stock name "JAPAUL OIL & MARITIME SERVICE PLC" is still appearing in the listing on the floor of the equity market. Does it mean that "JAPAUL OIL & MARITIME SERVICE PLC" and "JAPAUL GOLD" will both be trading separately on the floor of the equity market? Does "JAPAUL OIL & MARITIME SERVICE PLC" still exist? Since NSE has approved the change of the company's name, Japaul as a company should follow up to ensure nothing like "JAPAUL OIL & MARITIME SERVICE PLC" appears on the floor of the equity market and even in any of Nigerian Newspapers/media (if applicable) to avoid confusion and/or giving fraudsters a chance to perpetrate crime against innocent investors.

    Thank you.

JAPAULGOLD is committing fiduciary crime. You did not transit properly from oil/maritime to your present repackaged outfit.
A class action may be considered against your company Jegede.
You will be better off calling a meeting of early investors and resolve this ugly narcissistic and dubious approach to business.
I bought 50,000 shares the very first day you came out. No dividend since.
You moved neither up nor down. The next thing I read on the pages of newspapers is your new name JAPAULGOLD. No responses to several phone calls.

What? You seem to be poorly educated on the processes of the stock market. I have been investing in Japaul since 10 years ago and I am also mostly present at all their AGM's and I can assure you that no fraudulent processes are going on. The change to JapaulGold was approved by the shareholders of the Company at its Annual General Meeting held on 29 July 2020 and also there was a receipt by the Company of a new certificate of incorporation from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). Please educate yourself and stay updated on your stockholdings rather than making baseless accusations. Goodday.

JAPAULGOLD rise is a dead cat bounce. There's no fundamentals to "hinge" on, you better run for your lifeoooooooo. Unless you want to take real risk or you are part of the management that knows what is not open to the ORDINARY EYES.
