Interesting times @ Scom counter. The share gains over a week and every indication shows that it's on a recovery trajectory. It crosses 20 mark and go down tumbling. What will stabilize this share and give interested parties some bit of confidence? It loses more in a single day than a month's gain.

The rest of the counters are consistently gaining ground and giving away a few cents but Scom.

      *JUST FOR THE RECORD:*

By end of this year, The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) will likely be the best perform ining bourse in Africa and possibly among the best 3 in the world.

Qualitative easing by the US Federal Reserve (FED) of lowering the base rate will be the most consequential variable. Safaricom, Equity Bank, KCB and other high capitalised stocks will play a major role since they're attractive to foreign capital inflow.

Easing of domestic interest rates will also cause a shift from fixed income instruments to stocks.

*Kindly note this is the observation and projection by Ndindi Nyoro, Kiharu Mp. He is a reputable stocks Investment guru who made his fortune through stocks, he is run a successful stocks brokerage company before joining politics*

Safaricom CEO needs to go on a facts' finding mission on what they are not doing right. Safaricom shares can't just go down like this. What's the problem?

    1. rhodah Saisirhodah Saisi

It is not fair to put all the blame on the CEO considering the business macro environment in Kenya plus the rising interest rates of US which means there is a lot of capital flight from foreign investors. The fundamentals of Safaricom are not badly off.
