Buying stocks is easy in Nigeria as I think it is globally:

      1. Look for a reputable registered stockbroker, preferably a firm, not an agent

      2. Open a stockbroking account in your name with the broker

      3. Identify your aim and objectives to achieving the aim. Usually the aim of everybody is to profit or increase income sources.

      4. Choose between being a trader or an investor in the market. Both make money, traders in the short and medium terms while an investor is on the long run.

      5. Seek the advice of your broker on which stock to buy and which time to enter and when best to exit the market.

As a trader, you buy low, and sell high while an investor buys the particular stocks he is investing in almost anytime such stocks are available in the market. They hardly sell but grow the investment through bonus shares and dividends.
      The choice is yours.

Approach any stockbroking firm of your choice, register with the firm and they will register you with CSCS (central securities clearing system).

Submit all paper certificates of stock you have with them for onward transfer to CSCS where they are dematerialised and recorded on your account.

Ask them to help you do a global search of all your stocks.
Once done they will add everything to your account in the CSCS.

You may have to personally visit the registrars of all your companies so as to ascertain your identity. Thereafter, all your outstanding dividends shall be paid into your bank account.

Hello, please I'll like to know whom to contact. My dad is late and he has shares with you. I don't know the value. Might be pretty low or high. Is there a way to know the value and how I can transfer or sell it since I'm most likely the beneficiary. Thank you
