I met a share broker in the month of may this year (2024), and I submitted all that he requested from me to sell my shares including the certificate I had with me. Till now, he's been given reasons for delaying the sales.
    My questions :
Is my shares still intact ?
Does it take this long (5 months) to sell shares ?
What do I do to resolve this issue ?

For stock tracking, the first step is to do a global search. This is a service rendered by CSCS which is the clearing centre for all listed capital market instruments on the NGX. This should be done through a registered stockbroking firm.

This will identity all outstanding equity on the estate account or living individual account who has either lost track of his/her holdings or no even aware that (s)he has, this is peculiar to people whose parents/guardian bought in their names but never knew.

From the global search result, other effort can be concentrated on retrieval, consolidation of the shares and accrued benefits (dividend, share bonus etc.

I hope you find this useful.

All you need is to open a broker account with a broker of your choice.
See list of brokers here: ngxgroup.com/...r/find-a-broker/
And see dividend lists here: ngxgroup.com/...rporate-actions/
I'll suggest you use Stanbic or ARM because they have mobile app which makes buying and selling of shares easy for you.
You can mail me for more info. Glad to always be of help
