Steinhoff is primarily listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange with a secondary listing on the JSE.

Steinhoff operates through the following major segments: Conforama, European Properties, Pepkor, Pepkor Europe, and Corporate and Treasury Services. The Conforama segment operates furniture retail stores in Europe. The European Properties segment comprises office, retail, and warehouse space. The Pepkor segment involves in the selling of clothing, footwear, textiles, cell phones, airtime, and fast moving consumer goods. The Pepkor Europe segment comprises general merchandise retail business of Pepco and Poundland. Lastly, the Corporate and Treasury Services offers strategic direction and services to the decentralized operations globally.
