The company was incorporated on 24th September, 1965 and was then issued with a certificate to commence Ayrton Drugs Manufacturing on 21st October, 1965. The company began in a small plant in Kokomlemle with a few tablet making machines and 10 employees. It moved to its current location on the Abeka Road, Tesano in 1969. It currently employs about 348 people.
