Scancom Plc, more commonly known as MTN Ghana, is a public limited liability company first incorporated in Ghana in April 1994 and licensed by the NCA as a mobile telecommunications services operator. In November 1994, MTN (then using the trade name “Spacefon”) launched its GSM mobile cellular services with initial coverage in Accra and Tema. Coverage was expanded to Kumasi and Obuasi in 1997, and to Takoradi, Bibiani, Tarkwa and Cape Coast in 1999. Since then, MTN has built a robust customer base in Ghana, increasing its subscribers from 2.5 million in 2006 to nearly 18 million as at December 2017.

MTN Ghana's main revenue lines are airtime and subscription, interconnect and roaming, SMS, data, handset and accessories, mobile money, and value added services. Data and mobile money are expected to be the dominant drivers of revenue due to increased internet use and reliance on mobile money for payments.

MTN Ghana is listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) since September 3rd, 2018. MTN is traded on the GSE under the ticker symbol “MTNGH”. The International Securities Identification Number (ISIN) of GSE:MTNGH is GHEMTN051541. MTN Ghana is currently the third most valuable stock on the GSE with a market capitalization of GHS 10.7 billion, which is about 17.3% of the entire Ghana Stock Exchange equity market.

Buying MTN shares from the IPO has been one of my best investment decision, I'd wanted to buy more when the price dropped marginally to 0.51p per share but couldn't do that due to the specific bank I have to go to, GT Bank which wasn't anywhere near my location, now the share price has sky rocketed, am biting my fingers right now cos my account is looking really good... Its still not too late to buy.. the future prospects of MTN is very bright.

Ghana financial system is not serious as a country especially the Ghana stock exchange, why will one buy share and after a short term liquidity challenge face your client. All what you will here is, unless your share has been sold before you can get refunding your money back without even a period you can trust.

Ghana stock exchange is a joke and i will soon stand toll at them because they can't use the entity to fraud Ghanaians

Accepting the money takes a day but refunding don't have a period or date. What a scam policy and will never advice anybody to use he's or her money to buy any share in Ghana.

MTN Ghana, please pay us back our shares or..............
