Benso produces oil such as RBD Palm Oil, RBD Palm Olein, and vegetable oil mills, which have enabled it to control a large share of the market in West Africa. The company is also involved in the refinery of fats and oils. In 2004, the Ghana-based oil producing company patented a technology that converts waste food into nutritious food. Benso Oil Palm Plantation Limited is a subsidiary of Wilmar Africa Limited, producers of Frytol.
