CoreShares Equally-Weighted Top40 Exchange Traded Fund (CORESEW40 ETF) is an index tracking fund regulated by the Financial Services Board under the CISCA regulations, and listed on the JSE securities exchange and the Botswana stock exchange. This ETF is suitable to a range of investors, including (1) Institutional investors managing funds with a lower risk appetite, that require more balanced benchmarks and passive exposures, and do not support the size and resource bias of the headline FTSE/JSE indices. (2) Hedge funds with a strong stock-specific bet that need a passive product for hedging purposes find it more effective to take active positions relative to an equally-weighted benchmark than a market capitalisation based index. (3) Retail investors who require a lower risk exposure to the blue chip equity investments on the JSE; a broad-based exposure to a diversified range of investments in the South African stock market.
